Artist's Description
Created on canvas board using, Oil paint, metallic foil, hologram foil, glass gem stones, plastic, card, glitter and air drying clay. This is more of a three dimensional sculpture on a two dimensional surface. It has depth and texture. Sadly the brilliant sparkle of the glitter and metallic foils cannot be picked up by the camera. The original has to be view for the true effect of the sparkling, iridescent glitter to be appreciated or the hologram effect of the foil.
We see the gold fish bowl that is our Earth and a little man looking out at the mighty Cosmos, through a telescope. Human inventions explore Mars and Jupiter while minds superior to ours, from across the vastness of space and time view us from their space craft. The human probe approaching Jupiter and the sailing ship on the sea within the gold fish bowl, speak of timeless exploration. The fish that swim within the sea beneath the ship are as oblivious to us as we are to those aliens who watch us from their s...

I was born on the 20th February 1968 and grew up in the shadow of Birmingham, England. The second largest city in the UK. I come from a working class back-ground. I am gay and came out to my family at the age of 16 in 1984. At first my family rejected my sexuality. AIDS was hitting the headlines as, “the gay plague,” and they really did not understand why I had, “chosen,” to be gay. Eventually however, they realized it was not a choice and they did accept me.
